Jiani Lai

Jiani graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Queensland (UQ) in 2023, where she developed a strong foundation in marine biology and ecology. Following her graduation, Jiani joined a wetland conservation non-profit organization in China, focusing on science communication to bridge the gap between research and the public.

Currently, She is pursuing an Honours degree with MSEL, concentrating on modelling related to Marine Protected Areas (MPAs).

In addition to her academic and research pursuits, she is passionate about science communication and illustration. She strives to make science more accessible and engaging through visual storytelling, working to connect diverse audiences with scientific concepts with art.
