I joined the MSEL for a 4-month internship as part of my degree. I am French and grew up in Paris, far from any coral reefs. I developed a passion for biology in high school and decided to continue in this field for my studies. I am in my third year of a dual degree, which mixes political and social sciences with life sciences, at Sciences Po and Université Paris Cité. I got particularly interested in ecology during my classes. I wanted to join this lab during my year abroad to deepen my knowledge and experience in this field and specialise in marine ecology.
I am working with Tania Kenyon on coral rubble. More precisely, on looking for coral recruits on them under the microscope, and on identifying organisms growing on the rubble. I am really interested in the application of this research for conservation of coral reefs
